Daniel Ball, ChFC®, CLTC

Financial Advisor

Dan Ball brings over 39 years of experience and a passion for assisting clients with value-based financial planning to his leadership role at Ball Financial Services.  Immediately after graduating from college in 1985, Dan joined his father and brother in the family business, Ball Financial Services Company, continuing a tradition of quality financial service spanning four decades.

Dan is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he studied business management with a concentration in finance.  Dan received the Chartered Financial Consultant® designation (ChFC®) from American College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, where he studied estate planning, income taxation, insurance planning, employee benefits, and retirement planning.  He also possesses the Corporation for Long-Term Care Certification designation (CLTC®), focusing on extended-care planning and how longevity and its consequences affect families and their finances.

Dan helps people plan for and pursue financially secure futures.  Clients working with Dan create a personal “Financial Road Map” that aligns their financial resources with their values, priorities, and most-crucial needs.  By urging clients to take this holistic look at their finances and why they invest, Dan guides them toward aligning their goals and financial choices with what’s truly important to them.  With that clear focus on goals in place, he then works with clients to build an action plan with milestones that ensure the highest probability of achieving those goals.

Dan’s efforts are supported by his expert staff—Sue, Trish, and Chris—and also the extensive wealth of resources of our Registered Investment Adviser–broker/dealer, Commonwealth Financial Network (Commonwealth).

Dan is an avid cyclist and participates in the Annual Mt. Washington Auto Road Hillclimb Race. He also participates in a number of other hill-climb races throughout the summer in the Northeast.

For 35 years, Dan and his wife, Cheryl, have participated in the Pan-Mass Challenge, an annual cycling event to support the Jimmy Fund.  To date, they have raised more than $347,000 to help fund cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

When Dan isn’t training for the Mt. Washington Hillclimb Race, he enjoys collecting wine, playing golf, ballroom dancing, yoga, hiking, and skiing.
